We know some of you have your tried and tested ways of getting to us but for first timers remember we have plenty of "gear" here so you don't need to pack the kitchen sink.......

Check-in can be taken from 16.00.

Your cottage will be ready for you with;

beds made, tea, coffee, starter loo rolls, bin bag, washing up products etc.

ACTIVITIES ON SITE

Each cottage has its own private garden with picnic table, sun shades and BBQ

At the entrance there is a foot ball goal and balls to kick about.

In the play area there is a climbing frame, swings, sand pit, swing ball and trampoline.

Under the hangar there is baby foot, dart board and ping pong.

There is a cabana loft for children over 7 to be used only with parental consent and under supervision.

There is also a quiet zone in the pressoir with arty crafty, play doh, lego, dvds, wii, bean bags.

The heated pool is 10 x 5 x 1.4 deep and fully gated.

There are allocated loungers + cushions + bean bags and a pool pergola for each family.

Please use your own allocated pergola.

Pool towels are provided.

……but it is good to have a least one suggestion per day of “things to doooooo”.

Aquajump - WIBETT -

This is a massive hit with families, some going multiple times on a week, a bargain at 9 euros for an hour, best for kids of over 5. Huge inflatables on the Lake at St Yrieux – got to be experienced – we had some very competitive Dads last year……There is also a cafe and play area and beach for littler ones if you need to divide and conquer.

River Beaches -

This one is the best around and I hear reports that the toilets are excellent!

What is it with kids and sand?

There are a few around but our favourite and guest favourite;  

20 minutes away – in July and August it is supervised and the snack bar, paddle boarding etc are open, outside this time the beach is still there and open but it is not supervised.

We think the best one is Fontdouce, comfy chairs for grown ups, great picnic space and again good toilets!

- Les Halles the covered market is a great place for Sunday morning browsing. Park at Champs De Mar - Walk through the old town visit the Musee de la Bande Dessinee and discover the history of print and cartoon making. Walk by the river, rent a boat on the river. Discover the many Wall Murals. EAT - in the market or at Chez Paul in the old town.

park by the Place Francois Premier and walk the town.

The art museum, the Jardin Publique, snack on the place Francois Premier, eat at La Scala restaurant on the river, or the little restaurant St Jacques in the quarter St Jacques with a view back over the river to the Chateau.

Discover the covered market, walk along the river front.

Do a guided tour of Hennessy or visit the Martel foundation.

Eat on the Place Francois Premiere, L'Olympiade crêperie, Le Garage Bar

LAZY DAYS

Take a Picnic to our very own Roman Amphitheatre - DES BOUCHAUD - just 5 mins away, walk up through the forest to discover the hidden gem. Enjoy the nature.

Or to sleepy JARNAC bimble about see the beautiful Courvoisier Chai and picnic by the river.

OR YOU CAN DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL BUT SLEEP AND READ A BOOK UNDER THE TREE WHILST THE KIDS PLAY WITH STUFF FROM THE TOY CUPBOARD AND FORM THEIR LITTLE TRIBE.....
